Long Term Spanish Teacher Substitute
About the role
Long-term substitute Spanish teacher position from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday through Friday, for the 2026-2027 school year (November 20, 2026 to April 12, 2027). This role involves working with students at various levels of Spanish language learning.
Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish courses at the high school level, following Minnesota state standards.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that promote language acquisition, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Incorporate technology and real-world applications to enhance learning.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Participate in professional development and school activities as required.
- Establish and maintain high standards for the educational experience of students.
Requirements
- Current MN K-12 Spanish Licensure (all language teachers are welcome to apply; variances are possible).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working cooperatively with staff.
- Experience in working with students in grades 7-12.
Pay
Salary dependent on education and experience.
