About the role

Kaplan International Pathways offers international students a range of flexible study options through academic partnerships with leading universities. This role focuses on building and managing strategic relationships with high schools, college counsellors, and school districts across the United States to recruit students into undergraduate and pathway programs at Kaplan's partner universities in the United Kingdom. The role owns the full lifecycle of high school engagement — from initial outreach and relationship-building through to converting prospective students and their families into enrolled students.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Recruit U.S. high school students into undergraduate and pathway programs at Kaplan's partner universities in the United Kingdom
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of high school relationships (counsellors, college advisors, administrators) across an assigned U.S. territory
  • Design and execute a territory recruitment strategy, including school visits, presentations, college fairs, and counsellor events, positioning UK study options as a compelling alternative or complement to U.S. college applications
  • Build Kaplan's brand awareness and credibility among high school counsellors as a trusted source of information and guidance on Kaplan's UK university partners
  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate new high school partnerships to expand Kaplan's UK-bound recruitment network
  • Advise students and families on the UK application process, course options, and life at Kaplan's partner universities
  • Guide prospective students and their parents/guardians through the application journey, from initial interest to enrolment at a UK partner university
  • Meet and exceed recruitment, conversion, and enrolment targets for Kaplan's UK university partners within the assigned territory
  • Document all school visits, counsellor interactions, and student communications in Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with the admissions, marketing, and visa advising teams to ensure a seamless experience for referred students
  • Represent Kaplan at national and regional college fairs, conferences, and counsellor association events (e.g., NACAC, regional ACAC chapters)
  • Track and report on territory performance, relationship health, and recruitment pipeline to leadership
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory to visit high schools and attend recruitment events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of experience in student recruitment, college admissions, school partnerships, or a related relationship-management/sales role
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting inside the US high school networks, ideally private high schools
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting recruitment or sales targets
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to earn trust with US high school counselors and administrators
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a large, geographically dispersed portfolio of relationships
  • Ability to travel frequently (regional and occasionally national travel required)
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel by car and air as needed
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse student and family populations
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a territory with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce CRM as a sales or recruitment tool
  • Existing relationships with high school counselors, college advisors, or school districts in the assigned territory
  • Experience with international or pathway education programs, particularly UK-bound student recruitment
  • Familiarity with the U.S. college admissions and counseling landscape
  • Knowledge of the UK higher education system, and Tier 4/Student visa requirements
  • Personal study, work, or living experience in the United Kingdom
  • Fluency in an additional language
  • Experience presenting to student and parent audiences
