High School Multilingual Learner Coordinator - ESL Teacher 2026-2027 (Part Time)
About the role
The Multilingual Learner Coordinator at Brooke Charter Schools will coordinate ESL services and provide direct instruction to small groups of students. Key responsibilities include developing English language proficiency goals, tracking student progress, administering state mandated and ML identification assessments, coordinating redesignation assessments, monitoring EML students, and maintaining compliance with DESE regulations. This role is part-time, with a full-time salary range of $74,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience. A $3,300 stipend is available for teaching a high-need subject area.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement English language proficiency goals for students
- Track and report on student progress towards these goals
- Administer state-mandated and Multilingual Learner (ML) identification assessments
- Collaborate with teachers to provide high-quality sheltered content instruction
- Coordinate redesignation assessments for EML students
- Maintain compliance with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations regarding ML records
Requirements
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree
- Licensure: Valid Massachusetts ESL teaching license
