Multilingual Learner Coordinator - ESL Teacher (Maternity Opening) 2025-2026

About the role

The Multilingual Learner Coordinator (formerly known as an English Language Learner Coordinator) at Brooke Charter Schools will coordinate ESL services and provide direct instruction to small groups of students. Key responsibilities include developing English language proficiency goals, tracking student progress, administering state mandated and ML identification assessments, coordinating redesignation assessments, and monitoring EML (Exiting Multilingual Learner) students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement English language proficiency goals for students
• Track and report on student progress towards these goals
• Administer state-mandated and ML identification assessments
• Collaborate with teachers to provide sheltered content instruction
• Coordinate redesignation assessments for EML students
• Maintain accurate records of EML students in compliance with DESE regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid Massachusetts ESL teaching license
• Experience in coordinating ESL services and providing direct instruction
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
• Proficiency in using technology to manage student data and assessments

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $72,000-$128,000, commensurate with experience
• Additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area
