Responsibilities

• Establish weekly objectives aligned to Common Core Standards and Missouri Learning Standards
• Facilitate hands-on activities and projects allowing students to learn by doing and exploring
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Implement discipline models of BIST and Restorative Justice to maintain a positive learning environment
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of diverse students
• Achieve and exceed student performance goals
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment
• Model professional and ethical standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education
• Valid Missouri teaching certificate
• Demonstrated success in urban education
• Excellent organization skills and coordination of multiple tasks
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and flexibility
• Passes extensive background check
