High School Language Arts Teacher

FTE: 0.50 | FLSA Status: Licensed | Contract Status: Temporary | Start Date: August 31, 2026 | Calendar: 191 Work Days

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, foster communication skills, develop an understanding and appreciation of literature of all types, motivate students to read a wide variety of publications to derive information, comprehend and critically assess the reading materials, and to promote the development of skills in the field of English reading, grammar and syntax.

Pay

Salary: $52,792 - $93,707 based on education and experience

• Retirement Contribution: Greater Albany School participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
