About the role
Intrepid College Prep is a network of free, college preparatory public charter schools in the Antioch area of Greater Nashville, Tennessee. We educate scholars in grades 5–12 across two campuses: Opportunity Academy Middle School and Independence Academy High School. Our mission is to ensure scholars, educators, and families have the opportunity to unlock an unlimited future through rigorous academics and powerful relationships rooted in our core values: Ignite Passion, Seek Knowledge, and Inspire Bravery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and sustainment of an achievement-oriented, disciplined, and joyful school culture grounded in Intrepid’s core values.
- Partner with the Principal and Assistant Principal of Student Life to establish and reinforce a positive, disciplined, achievement-oriented, and joyful school culture.
- Support teachers in holding all students to high and consistent behavioral expectations.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students with acute behavioral needs.
- Serve as a resource to teachers on discipline, student relationships, classroom management, and school culture.
- Engage in public practice through classroom visits, curriculum sharing, observation, and feedback cycles.
- Maintain availability and willingness to participate in after-school programs.
- Participate in a limited number of optional evening/weekend student recruitment and community outreach events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting (preferred, but not required).
- Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Office required.
- Spanish language fluency highly preferred.
