About the role

The High School Counselor at Alpine ISD will provide comprehensive support to students, focusing on academic planning, career guidance, and personal/social development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to develop and implement student support programs.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' emotional and academic needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of college and career readiness initiatives.
• Participate in data analysis to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required by state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Guidance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience working with adolescents and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of adolescent development and learning theories.
• Experience with data-driven decision making.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
