High School Building Based Substitute

Duties

• Fill in for classroom and special area teachers as per district needs.
• Participate in all building events.
• Substitute at per diem rate on the fifth day if needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school subjects as assigned.
• Provide differentiated instruction at all levels.
• Use authentic and traditional assessments to differentiate instruction and improve student achievement.
• Collaborate in a team environment.
• Show evidence of positive classroom management skills.
• Integrate technology into instruction.

Qualifications

• NYS Certified Teacher Certification (secondary preferred).
• Experience teaching high school (student teaching experience will be considered).
• Familiarity with Common Core curriculum and NYS Standards, and other high school level content.
• Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to the school's mission and vision.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.

Benefits

Per diem rate of $200.00 per day for 4 days per week.
