High Reach Operator

Responsibilities

• Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck.
• May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements.
• May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational requirements.
• Performs work under general supervision and handles moderately complex issues and problems.
• Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Cycle Counts.
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material.
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Perform general clean up.
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• Train others when required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.
• 2 to 4 years of warehousing experience – especially in Metals industry.
• History of consistent dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills.
• Previous forklift certification.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety Mindset.
• Use of handheld measuring tools preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs preferred.
• LEAN and/or Quality Control experience preferred.

Pay

Hourly Rate: 19.00-21.00 Shift Diff of 1.25 additional
