Elm City Caregivers LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated PCA, HHA, or CNA to provide personalized, one-on-one, non-medical home care for an older adult requiring assistance with daily activities and memory-related support. We are looking for someone who understands that exceptional caregiving requires patience, compassion, professionalism, and respect for each individual's independence. 📍 Position Details Location: Hartford County, Connecticut Schedule: Monday–Friday Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hours weekly) Weekends: No weekends required Employment Type: Full-Time Setting: Private residence, one-on-one care Key Responsibilities ✅ Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support. ✅ Assist with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene as needed. ✅ Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning. ✅ Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a safe, organized home. ✅ Provide medication reminders (non-medical only). ✅ Encourage meaningful activities, hobbies, and cognitive engagement. ✅ Offer gentle reminders, reassurance, and redirection when appropriate. ✅ Assist with safe mobility and fall-prevention awareness. ✅ Accompany the client to appointments and errands as authorized. ✅ Observe and report changes in the client's condition or behavior. ✅ Complete accurate daily care documentation and follow the individualized care plan. Qualifications Previous home care experience required; dementia or memory-care experience strongly preferred. CNA, HHA, or PCA training preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, patient, and compassionate. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality. Reliable transportation.
