Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or moving them as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering CPR if needed.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients.
- Must be able to lift clients safely and assist them in daily activities while maintaining their dignity.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean environment for client safety and comfort is essential.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
