Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or moving them as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of client information.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient care or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering CPR if needed.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients.
• Must be able to lift clients safely and assist them in daily activities while maintaining their dignity.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean environment for client safety and comfort is essential.
• Certification as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
