About the role

HGV Class 1 Driver (CAT CE) position with a well‑known client in Carlisle. Contract options include Full‑Time, Part‑Time and Permanent. Posted 21 September 2026. Job Ref: 053/00671. The role is mainly trunking with occasional general haulage, offering long‑term ongoing work and ad‑hoc shifts with flexible start times (mornings, afternoons, nights).

Responsibilities

• General haulage across the UK with 1‑5 drops per shift
• Trunking operations
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork in line with company and legal requirements
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, transport regulations and working time directives
• Represent the company professionally at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence, CPC and Digi Card
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence
• Assessment required for this role

Pay

£17.37 – £25.00 per hour (PAYE)

Schedule

• Shifts run Monday‑Sunday
• Average 12‑hour shifts
• Day, afternoon and night shifts available
• Ongoing and ad‑hoc shifts with complete flexibility
