Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and implement controls for production process and product.
- Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes working closely with Manufacturing Engineers.
- Develops knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; builds awareness of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Maintain and improve process documentation active (Control Plans, PFMEAs, Methods, BiQ forms) and enforced in assigned area to ensure consistent quality and sustainability.
- Implement multiple concurrent process improvement projects, alone or as part of a multifunctional team, to drive customer satisfaction and business productivity.
- Apply standard engineering techniques to assigned tasks and ensure that specific goals are met in terms of quality, quantity, and timeliness in order to meet goals.
- Lead 4Ds and 8Ds problem solving for internal and external non-conformances. Lead the team in the usage of the problem solving tools to define the root cause and countermeasures.
- Manage Quality KPIs for the assigned cell, utilize this data to drive resolution in order to meet targets and goals.
- Work with Design Lead Engineer to timely disposition non conforming parts on the line.
- Provide support to operations to increase First Time Yield and reduce defect rate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited university or college (or a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in quality).
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or relevant intern or co-op experience.

- Prior Gas Turbine component experience and knowledge preferred.
