About the role

A Transplant Hepatology / Hepatology Physician responsible for building and expanding hepatology services, including future liver transplant program development.

Responsibilities

• Shape clinical strategy and participate in program development.
• Collaborate with transplant leadership and develop multidisciplinary liver disease services.
• Contribute to fellowship education, mentoring, and curriculum development.
• Engage in research activities supported by biostatistics, grant management, and clinical infrastructure.
• Potential leadership roles such as Section Head of Hepatology or Medical Director of Liver Transplantation.
• Develop academic initiatives and participate in faculty promotion pathways.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Advanced training in Hepatology or Transplant Hepatology preferred.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
