Responsibilities
- Work under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in meeting the patient’s basic needs during dialysis.
- Assist the nurse in obtaining data for assessment and providing care.
- Check and monitor vitals every thirty minutes and address patient needs as they arise, using service excellence standards.
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
- Support the smooth operation of the department by performing tasks associated with Hemodialysis Unit organization and orderliness.
- Provide technical support for equipment and water system, including collection of specimens and maintaining data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT).
- Basic Life Support (AHA certification only).
