Responsibilities
- Works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist the nurse in meeting the patient’s basic needs during dialysis.
- Aids nurse in obtaining data for assessment as well as assisting the nurse to provide care.
- Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
- Supports the smooth operation of the department by performing tasks associated with the Hemodialysis Unit organization and orderliness.
- Aids in providing technical support for equipment and water system including collection of specimens and maintaining data.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
