About the role

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hematology/Oncology division in Springfield, MA.

Position Highlights

  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including hematologists/oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • The ideal candidate will provide care outpatient and inpatient care to Hematology patients undergoing active treatment, surveillance, follow-ups, sick visits, and responds to infusion areas rapid response needs.
  • Educate patients and families about managing side effects and maintaining quality of life.
  • Enjoy practicing with a collegial team that values professional satisfaction and excellent quality of life.
  • Strong mentorship is available, with opportunities to participate in clinical research and contribute to the development of best practices and evidence-based guidelines in hematology and oncology.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Advanced certification in oncology or hematology preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology or a related field; new graduates with a strong clinical background and interest in oncology will be considered.
