Hematology / Oncology - Locum Tenens

About the role

Seeking a Board Certified or truly BE Hematology/Oncology Physician for inpatient coverage with an active Ohio license or IMLC. The role involves managing 12-18 patients daily, primarily in hematology (60%) and oncology (40%), including comprehensive treatments for lung, colon, breast, and prostate cancers. The setting is supported by advanced technology such as True Beam Radiation Oncology. Support staff includes one Hem/Onc physician, one Radiation Oncologist, and two Advanced Practice Providers. The EMR system used is Athena.

Responsibilities

• Manage 12-18 inpatient hematology/oncology patients per day.
• Provide comprehensive treatment for lung, colon, breast, and prostate cancers.
• Deliver patient care in a setting equipped with True Beam Radiation Oncology and other advanced technology.

Requirements

• Board Certified or BE (Board Eligible) in Hematology/Oncology.
• Active Ohio medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, with a call rotation of 1:3 (mostly phone consults). The position favors two weeks of coverage per month.
