About the role
Hematology Oncology/GU Focus – Grand Rapids, MI – MD/DO
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
- Play a key role in providing exceptional care to patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers to develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct and participate in clinical research, contributing to the advancement of malignant hematology
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities for patients
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents
- Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey
- Participate in tumor board meetings and provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers
Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- Board certification in Hematology/Oncology
- Experience in hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
