Hematology/Oncology - Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Clinical Scholar Pathway
Position Details
The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Larner College of Medicine, the University of Vermont Cancer Center and its teaching hospital, the UVM Medical Center and UVM Health Network, is seeking an academic clinician with experience in solid tumor oncology and a focus on breast oncology to join our academic faculty. The position is available at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway. This position involves approximately 80% effort toward clinical oncology care focused on breast cancers with remaining effort protected for scholarly activities. Substantial opportunities exist for collaborative and translational research with investigators in the UVM Cancer Center.
- Applicants must be ABIM board certified/board eligible in Medical Oncology and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont, for privileges at UVM Medical Center, and for faculty appointment at the University of Vermont.
- Candidates should have a record of or potential for productive cancer-focused clinical research.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide clinical care, participate in research, and engage in educational activities related to breast oncology. They will also contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services within the department.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for patients with solid tumor malignancies, with a focus on breast oncology.
- Participate in research projects related to breast cancer and other solid tumors.
- Engage in educational activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services within the department.
Requirements
