Hematology/Oncology-Assistant/Associate Professor-Clinical Scholar Pathway
About the role
The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Vermont (UVM) and the UVM Medical Center is seeking a medical oncologist/hematologist faculty member on the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the Assistant/Associate level to join the Hematology/Oncology Network division with a primary practice site in Plattsburgh, NY.
Responsibilities
- Provide general oncology and hematology care for benign and malignant disease
- Participate in inpatient consult service at University of Vermont Health Network Champlain Valley Physicians’ Hospital (CVPH) in Plattsburgh, NY
- Conduct outpatient clinics at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY, as well as at affiliated clinics in Elizabethtown and Malone, NY
- Share weekday and weekend call duties on a rotation with other physicians
- Engage with the University of Vermont Cancer Center for patient care and participation in clinical trials
- Practice two days per month at the UVM Cancer Center outpatient clinic in Burlington, Vermont, with an opportunity to focus on academic, subspecialty hematology/oncology
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology within the first two years of appointment
- Eligibility for licensure in the States of Vermont and New York
- Demonstrated interest in teaching and service
