The MercyOne Genesis Cancer Care team is expanding and seeks a Full-time Nurse Practitioner to join their dedicated oncology team. Located in Davenport, Iowa, with opportunities to cover Clinton and Silvis clinics, this position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and public service loan forgiveness.

About the Role

MercyOne Genesis Cancer Care is accredited by the NAPBC, NQMBC, CoC, and ACOS, providing a wide range of innovative treatments and resources. The team includes four physicians, two Nurse Practitioners, and experienced clinical and non-clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient and family-centered care
  • Collaborate with a physician-led medical group for leadership development and provider wellness
  • Support inpatient care through a dedicated hospitalist team
  • Offer collaborative services including radiation oncology, infusion resources, genetic testing, and clinical trials
  • Engage in tumor boards, dietitian support, and cancer navigation

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience as a Nurse Practitioner (or minimum 3 years of oncology RN experience with OCN® certification)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted license to practice in both Iowa and Illinois
  • Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications consistent with scope of practice

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Alternative qualification: Minimum of 3 years of oncology RN experience with current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification
  • Able to obtain and maintain an unrestricted license to practice in both Iowa and Illinois
  • Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications consistent with scope of practice

Skills

Nurse Practitioners should possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
