Hematologist/Oncologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

Clinic-based locum position for a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care
• Manage approximately 15 patients per day
• Work four 10-hour days weekly, primarily Monday through Thursday
• Handle 1:2 call coverage, with about 2-3 calls per week from ER or hospitalists (remotely manageable)
• Maintain documentation through Meditech EMR and Aria EMR systems
• Manage a patient population of adults, with a mix of hematology (60%) and oncology (40%) cases

Qualifications and skills

• Board certification in hematology/oncology
• Prescriptive authority required
• Ability to manage outpatient care independently and handle call responsibilities remotely

Additional details

• Support staff includes other medical oncologists, APP, nurses, radiology oncologists, and social workers onsite
• Work in an on-site clinic setting
