About the role
This role is for a licensed and board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist providing inpatient and outpatient care in a large hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology services, including chemotherapy administration managed by a nurse oncologist, across adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Manage 15-16 outpatient and 1-5 inpatient cases per day, focusing on hematology (60%) and oncology (40%).
- Collaborate with a team of three physicians, two APPs, and a radiation oncologist, utilizing the Epic EMR system for documentation and care planning.
Schedule
- Clinical hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, covering multiple days.
- Call duties on a 1:3 rotation, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications & Skills
- Board certification in hematology and oncology.
- Clinical experience in hematology and oncology.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Epic.
