About the role
The William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center, a fully accredited program by the Commission on Cancer, is seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join their established team. The physician will collaborate with the team to enhance patient care through evidence-based practices and promote an integrative oncology model.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to improve patient care through evidence-based clinical practices
- Guide processes that lead to improved quality of patient care
- Work alongside two board-certified hematologists/medical oncologists, a board-certified radiation oncologist, and a certified adult nurse practitioner in a state-of-the-art outpatient setting
- Participate in call rotation, 1:3 during the week and 1:4 on weekends
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in medical oncology/hematology
- Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship
- Unrestricted Maryland medical license
- Board certified or board eligible in hematology/oncology
- Prior leadership experience a plus
- Demonstrated interest in clinical trials and research
- Participation in cancer conferences, staff education, and continuing medical education
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Possess or be able to obtain an unrestricted Maryland medical license
- Board certified or board eligible in hematology/oncology
- Prior leadership experience a plus
- Demonstrated interest in clinical trials and research
- Participation in cancer conferences, staff education, and continuing medical education
