About the role

The William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center, a fully accredited program by the Commission on Cancer, is seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join their established team. The physician will collaborate with the team to enhance patient care through evidence-based practices and promote an integrative oncology model.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to improve patient care through evidence-based clinical practices
  • Guide processes that lead to improved quality of patient care
  • Work alongside two board-certified hematologists/medical oncologists, a board-certified radiation oncologist, and a certified adult nurse practitioner in a state-of-the-art outpatient setting
  • Participate in call rotation, 1:3 during the week and 1:4 on weekends

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in medical oncology/hematology
  • Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship
  • Unrestricted Maryland medical license
  • Board certified or board eligible in hematology/oncology
  • Prior leadership experience a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical trials and research
  • Participation in cancer conferences, staff education, and continuing medical education

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Possess or be able to obtain an unrestricted Maryland medical license
  • Board certified or board eligible in hematology/oncology
  • Prior leadership experience a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical trials and research
  • Participation in cancer conferences, staff education, and continuing medical education
