About the role

Helper- Environmental Air Systems is seeking Helpers to join our manufacturing shop. This role encompasses a wide variety of skills depending on the department where you are placed. You may assist other employees with cleaning, operating machinery, welding, plumbing/pipefitting, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work. EAS offers employees opportunities to learn valuable skilled trades and to grow their career paths.

Responsibilities

• Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, etc.)
• Handle material
• Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.)
• Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies
• Work in a fast-paced team environment

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure required
• Ability to read blueprints preferred
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels

Schedule

6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary
