Job Summary

At Cherokee Millwright, we provide multi-craft personnel to meet the unique job requests of our customers. All field employees are cross-trained in various trades including millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. The primary focus of this role is to assist with various tasks such as cleaning work areas, unloading materials, preparing jobsites, retrieving tools, and cleaning debris.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• General labor tasks such as: Job site preparation.
• Job site clean-up.
• Absorb material loading, unloading, gathering, and distributing.
• Assist with installations, laying out tools, and performing several other basic tasks.
• Follow general laboring directions from site leader and/or foreman.
• Assist craft workers with their duties by performing basic needs.

Qualifications

• Construction or manufacturing experience is highly desired but not required.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing.
• Frequent walking.
• Frequent use of hands and arms.
• Frequent reaching.
• Frequent talking and hearing.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
