Helper - Mechanical

Roles and Responsibilities

• Aid in general work activities as directed to complete tasks.
• Support the mechanic, foreman, and superintendent to ensure timely project completion.
• Communicate effectively with management, superintendent, and customers.
• Communicate with mechanics, foreman, and superintendents.
• Assist in unloading trucks.
• Maintain a clean and organized job space.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Report and correct unsafe work environments.
• Collaborate with other workers to complete projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Some knowledge of HVAC or general construction.
• Able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, and some weekends).
• Must have reliable transportation and communication.
• Must show up on time in appropriate attire and professionally.
• Bring your own hand tools; trade-specific specialty tools may be required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with foreman and follow direction.
• Able to show up on time, ready to work, and in uniform.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
• Physical demands: occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping; vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; must be able to talk and hear; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Work environment: exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
