Helper - Mechanical
Roles And Responsibilities
Aid in general tasks as directed to complete projects on time.
Support the mechanic, foreman, and superintendent.
Communicate with management, superintendent, and customers.
Communicate with mechanics, foreman, and superintendents.
Unload trucks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Report and correct unsafe work environments.
Collaborate with other workers to complete projects.
Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Some knowledge of HVAC or general construction.
- Able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, and some weekends).
- Reliable transportation and communication.
- On-time attendance and appropriate attire.
- Bring own hand tools; specialized tools may be required.
- Clear communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Pass a background check and drug test.
Physical Demands
- Sitting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing occasionally.
- Standing, walking, reaching, and gripping frequently.
- Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus vision.
- Speaking and hearing.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. (max solo), frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
Material Handling
- Lifting from floor level to overhead, occasionally up to 115 lbs.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment
- Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise levels, atmospheric conditions, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and working in high-risk areas.
