Helpdesk Technician
About the role
Our client is seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, working directly with users, and growing their IT career within a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide desktop and end-user technical support for hardware, software, and system issues
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Install, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and related equipment
- Build and image computers while configuring user accounts and software applications
- Reset passwords and manage user accounts through Active Directory
- Document incidents, resolutions, and updates within the ticketing system
- Monitor and prioritize assigned support tickets to meet service level expectations
- Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams when appropriate
- Aid with mobile device support and inventory management
- Support hardware deployments, equipment replacements, and technology refresh projects
- Provide technical assistance to employees at all organizational levels while delivering exceptional customer service
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of Desktop Support or Help Desk experience preferred
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience with Active Directory user administration and password management
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and remote support tools
- Experience imaging, deploying, and configuring desktop hardware
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
