Technician

Qualifications

• High school or GED and/or five years of equipment experience are required.
• Must have a valid driver license class C or higher.
• Must have a clean D.M.V. report.

Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write service reports.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear.
• Repairs, overhauls, or replaces:
• Pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.

• Repair leaks in radiator.
• Repair or adjust headlights, radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
• Work on ignition system, lights, and instrument panels.
• Aligns and adjusts brakes.
• Writes service reports.
• Orders parts.

Benefits

Compensation Wage Range 21.61 to 37.33 Hourly Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
