HCBDD in Hillsboro is hiring a Home Visitor for the Help Me Grow home visitation program in the Highland County area. The ideal candidate will reside in Highland County.

About the role

The mission of the Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to ensure effective systems are available to assist people in achieving their life goals. The vision is to enhance the quality of life in our community — one person at a time.

This position provides the opportunity to work from home or from the Highland County board office. You must be willing to visit families participating in the program in their home.

Responsibilities

• Home visitation
• Parent education for families prenatal up to age five

Requirements

• Must be eligible for credentialing under ODH rules
• Must attend all state-mandated trainings and additional trainings as deemed appropriate by the Program Manager
• Minimum of a high school diploma with relevant experience working with children, or an associate degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) in Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or another related field
• Experience in case management, ability to maintain a caseload, and meet mandates and timelines
• Must pass BCI and FBI criminal background checks as required by the Ohio Revised Code
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and TB test
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record and a satisfactory MVR CORSA score
• 180-day probation period must be completed
