Help Diagnose an Electrical Issue at a Local Nonprofit

About the Role

Samaritan Center, a local nonprofit organization, is seeking a licensed electrician or someone with experience in commercial electrical systems to help us assess a potential electrical issue in our building. We have two recessed ceiling lights that are no longer working, even after replacing the bulbs. We're hoping a volunteer with electrical experience can help us determine whether the issue is with the fixtures, wiring, ballast, switch, breaker, or another electrical component.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the affected light fixtures
• Diagnose the cause of the issue
• Recommend the most practical next steps
• Provide a no-cost estimate or advice for repairs, if possible

Qualifications

• Licensed electrician or experience with commercial electrical systems

Additional Information

As a nonprofit, we operate with limited resources, so any donated time or expertise would make a meaningful difference. While we would certainly appreciate any additional assistance with repairs, our immediate need is someone who can diagnose the problem and help us understand what needs to be done.
