Help Desk Technician Substitute, 2026-2027 Open Until Filled
Substitute position for the 2026–2027 school year. Assignment is as-needed, part-time, and temporary.
About the role
Under the direction of an assigned manager, perform various duties and support activities for staff within the County Office departments and in the districts, provide Help Desk technical and technology user support, and perform various technical and resource services in the installation, operation, repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of technology within County Office departments and in school districts.
Responsibilities
- Provide Help Desk technical and user support.
- Install, operate, repair, maintain, and diagnose technology equipment and systems.
- Support technology-related activities in County Office departments and school districts.
Requirements
- Valid California Driver License.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance (required prior to employment).
- Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance (required prior to employment).
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Lift Test clearance (required prior to employment).
- Pass the Stanislaus County Office of Education written examination for Help Desk Operator.
Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to:
- An Associate of Arts degree in a computer-related field, or
- Two years of experience providing technical assistance in computer systems.
A+ certification or evidence of equivalent skill level is desired.
Benefits
A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
Pay
Single rate: $31.69 per hour.
