About the role
We have an immediate opening for a Help Desk Technician responding to computer help requests from internal staff at our SLC, UT office. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and support end-user hardware and software
- Image new and existing desktop and laptop computers
- Respond to help requests via phone, email, and ticket system
- Track, prioritize, and document hardware and software support requests
- Deliver and set up computers and configure Office, CAD, and custom applications
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in a related position or field
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems
- Customer service driven with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects, stay productive during downtime, and occasionally work unsupervised
- Dependable, punctual, and excels working in a team environment
- Eager to learn new technologies
- Ability to lift, carry and/or place hardware or equipment, up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Technical certification (such as A+, MTA, MCSA)
- Associates degree or higher in a related field
- Two or more years of experience working in a customer service role in any technical field
- Managing users and computers in an Active Directory domain
- Familiarity with managing Office 365 users and mailboxes
- Experience repairing desktop and laptop hardware
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform tasks while in a sedentary position using a computer and phone
- Frequently required to engage in talking, hearing, and visual focus
- Regularly required to move throughout the facility, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
