About the role

VYH empowers and strengthens the lives of children, youth, and families through inclusive programming that builds resilience and fosters growth and independence. Our work is guided by a Trauma Informed / Healing centered perspective, incorporating positive youth and human development and cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration of the network.
  • Conduct trainings and orientation for staff in the usage of VYH systems and equipment.
  • Maintain and audit compliance with VYH computer security and usage policies and practices.
  • Provide helpdesk support to VYH staff throughout the agency.
  • Deploy workstations for new staff and programs throughout the agency.
  • Travel throughout the Central region to deploy equipment, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a Certificate in Computer Networking or a related field.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
  • Be a mature individual with the ability to adapt to VYH’s philosophy.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, possess sound judgment, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Never have been convicted of any child abuse offense and possess or obtain required clearances in the time frame established by licensing authorities.

Qualifications

The technician must have a mature personality, the ability to adapt to VYH's philosophy, and possess sound judgment and excellent problem-solving skills. They must also have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.

Skills

Must have strong technical skills, particularly in networking and troubleshooting. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
