Help Desk Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of network problem analyses
- Perform physical repairs for on-premises computers and peripherals
- Install/repair Operating systems (Win 11, Server 2019, 2022, and 2025) for on-site machines
- Relocate or set up full work stations for users at any of our San Diego offices.
- Perform hardware installations for on-premises computers
- Monitor tasks for the Integrated Default Solutions (IDS) help desk
- Triage network problems to the appropriate technical staff
- Log, coordinate, and track requests for assistance related to IDS-supported systems
- Web-based application support
- Provide on-site support for visiting clients
- May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals
- May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs
Experience and Skills
- Extensive experience with Windows Desktops and Servers, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Azure and Intune is a plus
- Experience with VDI & VPN/SDP, including support and troubleshooting
- Ability to manage and maintain Active Directory
- Research and report on problems and solutions
- Attention to detail
- Creative thinking and advanced problem solving
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on technical or instruction-oriented writing and in clearly communicating complicated concepts over the phone, in person, and in writing
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple support requests
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances
- VOIP and unified communication support (Teams) experience is a plus
Qualifications
- Familiarity with computer hardware, printers, and peripherals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues
- Customer service experience (retail, call center, hospitality, etc. can be valuable)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests
Work Schedule
This is a 100% office position requiring your physical presence Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Salary Range
The salary for this position typically ranges from $24-$28/HR, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.
