Position Overview

Field users of JEDD-developed applications need responsive support to keep doctrine and UJTL work moving. Help Desk Support provides on-call technical support and a help desk capability for JEDD applications and databases by email, phone, and in-application tickets. The role resolves user issues quickly and escalates the rest to the Government Information Systems Owner.

Essential Job Function

  • Provide on-call technical support and a help desk capability for JEDD applications and databases.
  • Receive and resolve user issues by email, phone, and in-application help tickets.
  • Maintain a running online record of reported problems and resolutions.
  • Escalate unresolved requests to the Government Information Systems Owner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Graphic Design, or a related discipline; or no degree with 5 years of experience in the areas below.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success in two (2) or more of the following: graphics and multimedia development using software such as CorelDraw and Photoshop CS5; maintaining digital archives (photographs, vignettes, videos, and quotes); and the joint or Service doctrine development and publishing processes.
  • Security Clearance: Secret (per Staffing Plan).

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior help desk support in a DoD environment.
  • Familiarity with JDEIS applications (JEL, JEL+, JDDT).
