Job Summary

The Help Desk Intern will learn how to deliver supreme customer service while supporting BHG’s Corporate and Field team members and treatment centers. The position will provide exposure to the following computer disciplines: Service Desk, Desktop Software Support, Computer Operations, and others.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
  • Aid with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
  • Organize and maintain IT resources
  • Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management

Regulatory

Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory bodies, as well as accrediting agencies. Complies with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements. Complies with all accrediting agencies.

Marketing and Outreach

Participate in community and public relations activities as assigned.

Training

Attend and complete all required trainings as assigned by manager. Continuous exploration of knowledge through related field.

Minimum Requirements

  • The Help Desk Intern must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be currently enrolled in a degree program closely related to the field.
  • A basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems is required.
  • The following characteristics are also essential:
  • Education and licensing in closely related field
  • Currently enrolled in degree in a closely related field preferred
  • Self-starter with good time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of IT systems, software, and procedures
  • Problem solving skills independently or escalate if necessary
  • Handle multiple tasks on a day-to-day basis if necessary
  • Strong organizational and management skills when dealing with companies hardware

Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Ability to sit for long periods of time, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Variable workload, periodic high stress, and activity level. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Keyboarding for long periods of time.
