About the role

We are looking for a hands-on PC Technician to support hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for end-user equipment in Buffalo, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience working with computer hardware, peripherals, and device installations in a fast-paced support environment. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, preparing workstations, and ensuring Dell and Apple devices remain reliable and ready for daily use. Location: Buffalo, NY. Duration: Contract 6-12 Months.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and related hardware for end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware problems and perform repairs or replacements to restore equipment functionality quickly.
• Set up and organize cables, power connections, and peripheral devices to create clean and dependable workstation installations.
• Provide technical support for Dell systems and Apple devices, including basic diagnostics and component troubleshooting.
• Prepare new equipment for deployment by completing imaging, configuration, and physical setup tasks.
• Track hardware issues, service activity, and equipment status to support accurate inventory and support records.
• Assist with moves, additions, and changes involving computer equipment and connected hardware across work areas.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience supporting PC hardware in a work environment.
• Working knowledge of computer components, peripherals, and associated hardware installations.
• Experience performing cable installation and workstation setup with attention to safety and organization.
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies equipment and Apple devices.
• Ability to diagnose hardware issues and complete repairs or replacements efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple support tasks effectively.
