We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide responsive technical assistance and dependable desktop support for end users in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, improving support processes, and delivering a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver desktop and help desk support by diagnosing technical problems, resolving user issues, and completing service requests in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain software, hardware, and user applications across supported workstations and devices.
- Set up, distribute, and personalize computers, peripherals, and related equipment to meet end-user needs.
- Perform routine maintenance on desktops, printers, and peripheral devices to improve performance and reduce interruptions.
- Partner with subject matter experts and internal teams to investigate escalated tickets, major incidents, and recurring technical problems.
- Use PowerShell to run, adjust, and enhance scripts that streamline support activities and automate repeatable IT tasks.
- Maintain accurate support documentation and contribute to improving service procedures, knowledge resources, and operational workflows.
- Assist with backup-related tasks, system configuration, and other assigned technical support duties as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in desktop support, help desk, service desk, or another end-user facing IT support position.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments, office productivity tools, remote support utilities, and service ticket management.
- Experience with Active Directory and enterprise desktop administration tools, along with familiarity with endpoint security technologies.
- Solid understanding of troubleshooting methods for computers, mobile devices, and common hardware and software issues.
- Basic knowledge of network fundamentals, including protocols, connectivity, and issue isolation techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, document work clearly, and stay organized in a high-demand support setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; CompTIA A+ and networking experience are preferred.
