About the role

Air Methods is seeking exceptional pilots to join our team. We provide air medical transport services 24/7, ensuring safety and offering work-life balance through a 7/7 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
• Verify aircraft airworthiness daily by signing off the Daily Flight Log and performing a walk-around.
• Ensure safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment during operations.
• Familiarize medical flight teams with aircraft and medical systems.
• Complete required documentation and conduct detailed flight planning.
• Participate in meetings, activities, projects, committees, and community outreach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Regular scheduled attendance (7/7 schedule - 12-hour shifts).
• Weight not exceeding 250 pounds and under 70 years old.
• Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the past 24 months.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
• Must hold a Commercial and Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft).
• First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years’ related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills

• Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator or in the military within the previous 24 months.
• Must have 2,000 total flight hours with a minimum of 1,500 flight hours in category, 1,000 hours PIC in category, 500 hours rotor wing turbine time, 200 hours cross-country flight time (at least 50 hours at night), 100 hours unaided night as PIC (50 hours of unaided can be substituted for 100 hours of NVG time), and 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category (simulator time does not count).
• Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft).
• ATP rating in category meets this requirement.
• First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

Pay

$82,900 per year commensurate with flight and EMS experience.

Schedule

7/7 schedule - 12-hour shifts.
