About the role
Air Methods is seeking exceptional pilots to join our team. We provide air medical transport services 24/7, ensuring safety and offering work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
- Verify aircraft airworthiness before every flight.
- Ensure safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
- Familiarize medical flight team with aircraft and medical systems.
- Complete required documentation.
- Conduct detailed flight planning with minimal notice.
- Participate in company meetings, activities, projects, and community outreach.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Regular scheduled attendance (7/7 schedule - 12-hour shifts).
- Maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds and be under 70 years old.
- Pilots must have flown in category within the past 24 months.
- Must hold an Instrument rating (ATP rating in category meets this requirement).
- Fixed wing multiengine rating required for twin-engine aircraft.
- Commercial single-engine land license required for single-engine aircraft.
- First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from two-year college or technical school, with 2-5 years’ related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with flight and EMS experience, ranging from $82,900 per year.
Schedule
Regular scheduled attendance on a 7/7 schedule with 12-hour shifts.
