Job Summary

Ensure aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy for transporting medical crews and patients. Comply with FAR, AIM, GOM, and Air Methods policies and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft safely and legally
• Pre-flight checks and walk-around inspections
• Final authority for operations and safety
• Ensure medical team familiarity with aircraft systems
• Complete required documentation
• Conduct detailed flight planning
• Participate in meetings and community outreach

Additional Job Requirements

• Regular scheduled attendance (7/7 schedule)

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, with 2-5 years’ related experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Weight limit of 250 pounds, age under 70
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships
• Commercial single-engine land license required
• First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required

Compensation

Compensation commensurate with flight and EMS experience, starting at $82,900 per year.
