Helicopter Pilot (Instructor)

Amentum Services, Inc., established in 1989, has trained and educated over 1200 students annually since then. We provide comprehensive flight training, including classroom instruction and hands-on flight training, ensuring that our students are prepared to become proficient military aviators. What You Will Do

Amentum instructors play a crucial role in teaching, coaching, and mentoring student pilots. The primary responsibilities include:

• Teaching and guiding student pilots through intensive training programs.
• Maintaining a high standard of safety in all aspects of flight instruction.
• Conducting flight instruction in areas covering over 40,000 square miles of airspace within the National Airspace System.

Minimum Pilot Qualifications

• ICAO equivalent or FAA commercial pilot certificate and ICAO equivalent or FAA flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class, and instrument helicopter ratings.
• Graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.
• Total flight time of 1500 hours, including 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.
• 500 hours of instructor time.
• Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
• Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified with 200 hours of NVG time.

Basic Warfighter Skills

Candidates must be certified Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and have 200 hours of NVG time.

Compensation Details
