Hebrew Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for all students
• Design and submit weekly lesson plans aligned with proficiency-based curriculum
• Conduct immersive lessons, communicating solely in the company throughout the school day
• Analyze and document assessments to monitor student achievement and language performance
• Maintain effective classroom management to maximize learning time
• Create an inviting and exciting learning environment with diverse instructional strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching practices and discuss student work

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in the company and good communication skills in English
• Knowledge of language acquisition and proficiency-based language instruction principles
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus
• K-12 lead teaching experience preferred
• Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is a plus
• NY teacher certification or working towards it is advantageous
