About the role
The immediate vacancy is with the Department of Transportation - Highways Division located in Lihue. A continuous recruitment may be closed at any time. Responsibilities
- Operates a truck having a factory-rated capacity of 5 tons and over, or a tank truck having a capacity of over 1200 gallons as a major work assignment.
- Performs operational maintenance.
- Performs manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- ONE (1) YEAR of work experience in the operation of trucks having a factory-rated capacity of more than one and one-half tons; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- This position requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and no restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes) at the time of application.
