HEAVY TRUCK DRIVER - LIHUE, KAUA'I
Duties Summary
Operates a truck having a factory-rated capacity of 5 tons and over, or a tank truck having a capacity of over 1200 gallons as a major work assignment.
Performs operational maintenance.
Performs manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Experience: ONE (1) YEAR of work experience in the operation of trucks having a factory-rated capacity of more than one and one-half tons; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Special Requirements: This position requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and no restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes) at the time of application.

If a copy of your CDL is NOT submitted at the time of application, your application will be rejected. A valid out-of-state CDL may also be accepted. If you are selected for this position, you must transfer your out-of-state CDL to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to your employment start date.
