About the role
Stevens Towing Company, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Heavy Marine Equipment Operator with 5+ years of experience in a shipyard environment.
Responsibilities
- Work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required and needed.
- Perform pre-use inspection of all equipment operated.
- Perform preventative maintenance including adding fuel, oil, and lubricants, cleaning and changing cables, filters, hoses, belts, fuses, and adjusting brakes, clutches, limits, and similar equipment or functions.
- Setup the marine railway and perform other duties as requested or required.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of shipyard experience.
- A TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card issued by Homeland Security).
- A valid driver's license.
- A passport.
- To learn and comply with safety rules and proper usage of safety equipment.
- To comply with all Safety and Pollution Prevention Regulations and Procedures under the direction of Stevens Towing Company, Inc.’s safety policies.
